Elite runners from ASEAN nations are invited to take part in the `Bali 10K` to be held here on August 12.
"We have invited best runners from ASEAN nations, with the exception of Cambodia and Laos, to take part in the event," head of the local branch of the Indonesian Athletic Association (PASI) Komang Budiarta said on Tuesday.
The coountries that have confirmed a plan to take part in the event are Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia, he said.
Organized by the Bali provincial administration, the Bali 10 K is an annual international event held in the first week of August.
For the elite group, first winner will get a cash prize of US$2,000, while second winner will receive US$1,500, third winner US$1,000 and fourth winner US$500.
For the general group, first, second, third, fourth and fifth to tenth winners will get a cash prize of Rp3 million, Rp2 million, Rp1 million and Rp500,000 and Rp250,000 each.
For the students` group, winners will get a cash prize of Rp2 million, Rp1 million, Rp750,000, Rp350,000 and Rp250,000 each.
