Volcano Batur is one of the most sacred mountains in Bali, also could be considered one of the wonders of world. It must be seen to be believed, and a trip to the summit of the volcano is a climb worth, with majestic views over Lake Batur and onto Lombok's highest mountain. Volcano Batur erupted several times within this century, most recently in 1994 and 1997. In 1994 eruption lasted about 1 month. Most of the lava was coming out at night time. In November 1997 there was another eruption, but at that time mainly black sand and smoke. During this trip you will spend one night at Surya Hotel beside the lake.
